Glade is a Fintech company based out of Lagos Nigeria. Backed by The Baobab Network, Tech Stars and Seedstars Liyi and his team are building an all-in-one financial operating system for businesses across Africa.

30 million business owners in Africa lose more than $5 billion dollars in revenue every year due to a lack of financial services and are unable to access business opportunities from other markets, even those across their borders.

Glade aims to support Africa’s $1.5T business market by helping businesses save time and money with global accounts, payments, financing, and operations, as well as earn smarter – by doing more than what a bank, bookkeeper, or accounting platform could ever do alone.

The founding team is led by 3 long-term players in the fintech space in Nigeria, with Liyi (CEO) with previous experience at Interswitch, Access and Zineth. Tempitope Hundeyin (COO) with experience at Sterling and later, in growing JUMIA. Lastly, Bnakole Alani (CTO) with previous experience at SystemSpecs, Remita and ltex, leading the work on their technology products.

Traction: From January 2022, Glade achieved total revenue of $500k with ~6000+ businesses using the platform monthly and $190M in transaction volumes.
